turkey analysis Empty my race

Post  JOE-BAKER---4 Tue Mar 29, 2011 1:56 pm

I new going into the weekend 5th was what i would acomplish, considering no pre race practice and a rushed poo,Only 5 racing hoped for more really; especially when I showed what i could do in the wet, 'untouchable' andy said at one stage, when im normally doing 26.8's.. Thats the positive. The many negatives now:
poor start
couple of incidents
no pace.

Summary, pleased i can give people a run for there money in proper wet condition, proving in a wet race I will be up there. As I said mid way through looking forward to Canada turn one. I new this would be damage limitation, mistakes costing me.

turkey analysis Empty my race

Post  Jonneh- Tue Mar 29, 2011 2:17 pm

although i was a second behind joe in qualy i was very pleased with my pace as i had NEVER done turkey in the wet before.
The Race - Great start then lap 2 i have a massive slide and joe collects me into the wall (discuss thoughts on that when i upload my highlights) i was helped a lot by andy getting wiped out several times allowing me to get clean air and a gap but i made i silly mistake by letting him pass as i thought it would only mean he would secure third, little did i know he would destroy a 12 second gap and pass me with 3 laps to go on his fresh options. Nevertheless a double podium for IBSF1.
The only negatives for me - option pace needs improved and I need to be more reliable and not spin/slide as much.
